Hi Students, Here's a great link for new pop songs to play on your ukulele. Enjoy! https://ukutabs.com Hi students, well done in learning your first few chords! Here's "rolling in the deep" Listen in to some recordings on youtube ready for next week. Grade Five students have explored the central idea "There are many different sounds that we may change or play expressively." Students have worked in small groups and discussed how to create an effective beginning, middle and end to a piece of music. They created and discussed a simple map of their ideas. Then they tried out their pieces using a wide range of percussion instruments, as well as their own instruments from home.Grade Five students completed their musical reflections this week and uploaded their work onto their E-portfolios. In class they discussed the following questions.
1. What went well for your UN night/day performance? 2. What are you particularly proud of? 3. What would you change if you were to perform again next year? why? 4. Anything else? Students shared their performance experiences in small groups and then feedback as a whole class. Watch out for some written reflections over the next few days! |
