This week, K2 students continued with the song "Down By The Bay." Students chose to play two different instruments and worked in pairs. They were asked to make their own unique change (e.g. fast/slow/playing to the beat/solo playing). Each time the students played it with their buddy, they were asked to discuss their thoughts and feelings about the music created. Then selected students also took it in turns to perform for the rest of the class. Great teamwork girls and boys!
This week K2 students experimented with a range of percussion instruments to see which instruments they preferred for the song "Down by the Bay." They worked in small groups and rotated around the room trying different instruments such as the tambourines, egg shakers, maracas and bells.
K2 explored creating different vocal sounds for their recent unit of inquiry about how to create and change sound. Logan created his own vocal sounds for an imaginary car and Yilan was his front seat passenger! |
